Not very good experience as per the Google review. It is so so type. The day we went the owner was busy only with an event which will took place in the evening. The fish in doi katla was not fresh at all. Same goes with vegetable chop. But quantity wise all foods are satisfactory. Dhokar dalna was out of the box. Superb. Although the shukto was little bit sweet than usual but it was good. Service was outstanding. Atmosphere is also good. Actually 3.5 will be the appropriate rating for this. The restaurant has all the potential to make an impression in bengali good zone but it has to go a long way before that.
Fine bengali restaurant in a very good location. Different bengali songs (mostly rabindrasangeets) are played here and the entire place is really well-decorated and beautiful. The behaviour of staffs are nice. Overall this is a really good place if you wish to have lunch with pure Bengali food. Only thing that bothered me was that it took a hell lot of time to serve the dishes.
I would like to make others aware about what we saw today. The food contain flies in the daal. Machi. The owner just smiled about it. It takes hours to serve the food. Overall, unhygenic, bad service bad food.
I would say this is one of the best thalis I've had in kolkata. We went to this place in late evening so couldn't try ilish thali. But the bhetki paturi was the show stealer and I think I'll never forget the taste of it!!
