very yummy home delivered idlis. One Kanchipuram idlis equals 5 normal idlis. Very rich and filling and nicely presented. This is really something different. Good idli podi and rather spicy tomato chutney, but you could request less spicy. try it out.

The Idli's are prepared by a very senior monk (Maa) in a meticulous and an exclusive traditional way in an Ashram.As the Idli's are prepared with ancient herbs in a very special way and requires several rounds of preparation,she wakes up 4 am and starts preparing it after her sadhana (spiritual practices). Once prepared, it is then offered to God and later served to all as prasadam (offerings). Best part is all the monks themselves have the same Idli's (from the same batches) as their daily morning food. The sattva quantity in the Idli's is very high! (Ashram, Senior monks preparing it, selfless cause). The idli's were recently made available to general public as the Ashram uses the proceeds of the sale for annadanam (free distribution of food) for Sadhu's and pilgrims, providing free vedic knowledge,free medical services to Sadhus, repair of Street lights on the Girivalam path etc. Annadanam occurs every day without fail at 8 am in the ashram which is located in the Girivalam path, near Rajarajeswari temple.Medical camp is organized on the first week of each month. If one is looking for a satvic food to increase your prana(life energy), this is a place which you just can't miss.Truly, a hidden pearl! The Kanchipuram idlis were very traditional in taste and so were the chutney and molagapodi...... Wonderful and prompt service...... Anybody who is in for sathvic food... This is the place.....
