Full 5 stars for this Restaurant! We had breakfast here and it was too good, especially their pongal. Their Idly and Sambar was also too good! Their service was good! The staffs were too friendly and behaved well with the kids accompanying us. It is located at a walkable distance from the Railway Station.
An unexpected dining experience shattered all the expectations. Believe me when I say it " it's the best sambar and chutneys you could have in Thanjavur or anywhere" . I initiated the review immediately after having the dishes .
I am from Karnataka and as soon as I got out of the railway station I started searching for pure veg restaurants especially our Udupi cuisine as we found all non veg hotels around. Surprisingly we found sree ram nivaas hotel in the corner. Trust me , this was the best mushroom Dosa and onion Dosa I have ever eaten. Being from Karnataka, Davanagere benne Dose was my favorite Dosa but after eating in Ram nivaas I think this is at another level. We just enquired about this taste to Mr Abbas and he explained the 100+ years old history about this restaurant in his pure accented English.
The food was good. We were new to that place and hotel. But, not the first time having plain dosa, masala dosa... The price was much higher for the moderate size dosa's. Is this the actual cost?
Food was nice.But the cost was very high.1 masala dosa cost 75, Tea 18, & coffee 20...It was too much...We were new to that place(Tanjavur).I think that is the reason
