Sri Ashoka Nadar Mess - Only Nonveg

We visited on 27th March 2025. This restaurant was located inside a house and back lane. Resturant run by two people. Food was average and pricy with tiny portion serving. There was a lady who was rude. The lady does not have a customer service attitude. This restaurant was overrated. Mutton chukka was good. Hygiene was poor, and seat arrangements were limited. Fish curry was a disaster. Witnessed flies inside washing basin. The omelet was ok. Overall, it is an average taste. You must take note. Resturant only starts at 1.30pm. No vegetables or kootu will be served. Thala Kari was hopeless.

Made a lunch stop here when I was in sattur area This place is actually not a hotel but a home transformed into a kinda mess that serves some authentic home made food that looks and feels organic Tried out the following dishes there Non veg meals Mutton chukka Bone kolambu Karandi omelette Chicken curry Outstanding dishes were Mutton chukka, karandi omelette which was highly flavorful and spicy with awful lot of masalas. Non veg meals charged upto 250 rs were totally unworthy as there were no extra gravies served for this, unlike other restaurants. Chicken curry was average with nothing special on it Overall a humbling experience with very poor service attitude and seating space. Waiters were not professional here and were uncaring about the customers Go for it if you want to try out the flavors Seer

When we were near satur I was checking for an authentic place to have food in satur. I was checking with my cousin who lives in this area and suggested this place. We checked with them before going there since it was around 3pm and they confirmed they were open. I was actually taken back since it was a very small home setup I was expecting a hotel. But the taste was nonchaltic authentic spices and oil used looks like gingerly oil. Mutton chukka was exceptional and Authentic. Taste and authenticity 5/5. Quantity 4/5. 260 per meal is a little costly but I feel it's worth it.

Better to avoid this hotel .. Rude..high rate ...poor infra ..don't plan for lunch this hotel..it's spoiled your mood towards lunch

It's good home food and can fit in 12 people at a time max. Only non veg food with limited but tasty menu. It's not on the highway, little inside with very narrow approach roads just enough for one car to pass through. Worth trying. Warm friendly people who take care well.
