We are very regular customer to this hotel. But this time we had a very horrible experience. Since we liked all the dishes they served except the fish fry. When We complained about the fish fry is very smelly to the hotel guy he simply refused and asked us to pay. He simply telling repeatedly fish will be smelly always. Such a bad behaviour.
This hotel offers a mixed experience. The biriyani rice was flavorful, but the chicken didn't live up to expectations. The chicken shawayi, however, was quite good. The fried rice was dry and a bit bland, not really hitting the mark. The beef pepper was disappointing with little to no flavor. On the drinks side, the passion fruit mojito was a highlight--refreshing and delicious. The cool blue mojito, however, tasted a bit like toothpaste. The mint lime was nice and refreshing. Overall, it's a place worth trying, but some dishes need improvement.
Didn't dine in so can't say about atmosphere. Got referred thro a friend. Ordered food for a bunch of 20+ people , mix grp of veg and non veg , and the owner himself took responsibility and quantity and delivered top notch food. It was a take away order, everything neatly packed and made me wish that we live in that part of that country. Thank u very much sir
One of the Crowded Restaurants in this Area. They have a normal restaurant ground floor and Cafe on the First Floor. Cafe has a Good Ambience and Lighting. We tried their Chicken Masala & Butter Chicken Curry along with Veeshappam, Pathiri & Appam. Both Curries were Average compared with the Price they are Charging. Bread items were Good.
"A Disappointing Experience at Dawat Marthandam" Today my visit to Dawat is the combination of overpriced, poor-quality food and terrible service made for a very bad experience. Having ordered six chicken biryanis, I was expecting a satisfying meal, but what I received was a series of disappointments. The quality of the food was the first major issue. The chicken biryani, priced at approximately Rs. 200 per plate, was shockingly worse. The quantity was extremely small, with each serving containing just one tiny piece of chicken. The accompanying side dishes were equally unappetizing. The "gravy" was particularly awful - it tasted like a watery solution made from all-purpose flour, with a hint of salt and some unidentified masala. It was clear that no effort was put into its preparation. The raita was no better, consisting of nothing more than chopped onions in watery buttermilk. I left feeling cheated and utterly dissatisfied.
