Annalakshmi Restaurant

I went to this restaurant a while ago. The atmosphere is nice and vibrant. The staff are very nice to the customers. When we went, there was an event upstairs so the time taken for food to arrive was more than 30 minutes. But I must say the food is top notch and is very good! But when I had it as takeaway, I'd say it isn't so good. One thing I'd recommend is to try the Rose Milk as they make it from scratch and its so tasty! Overall, its a good restaurant one of my all time favourites! Definetely will recommend.

One of the best restaurant in Kumbakonam that serves high quality food. Both veg and non veg options are great. Though it has limited cuisine, the food quality and taste are very good and I highly recommend if you are coming to this restaurant as a family. Tried mushroom noodes, roti with egg masala and dragon prawn. Even we tried veg options. Though the veg meals is not that tasty but the quality is good. The service is very good and they behave professionally well. The atmosphere is great.

On 6th March 2025, i visited at 6.45pm for dinner. I requested for Iddiyappam and was told kitchen was not ready. We requested Iddiyappam. We also ordered Onion pagoda and coffee. Half hour later, i was told by waiter that Iddiyappam was not available today. Customers must be told immediately what was not avaliable. I requested the resturant manager to give feedback. It took long for Manager to approach me for feedback. Disappointed on the Service and Pagoda was disaster. Pagoda was over fried. Looks like the quality of food and service inconsistent. On 2nd March 2025, I ordered Szechuan chicken noodles. I would rate as 5 star flavour and quality. Chef Mahindran preparation was excellent. Waiter Prabaharan was fluent in English and polite. The best noodles at Kumbakonnam. All staff were attentive, and the service was good.

I had a South Indian meal. The food was good, no doubt about that, but @ 260, it's quite expensive. There is nothing special about it that warrants such a high price, in spite of the good quality of the food. The decor is good, the service is also exemplary.

Recently visited Annalakshmi hotel, Ordered 1. Mutton Mughal Biriyani (365) - it was awesome, Topnotch. But they added fried egg in Biriyani, that's the only minus thing. I don't like fried egg with biriyani. They should have added Boiled egg instead. 2. Garlic Naan(90) and Kadai Paneer(265) - Nice 3. Chicken Tandoori (290) - it was Juicy with normal spice and taste. Very good ambience and service. Best place to have lunch/dinner with friends and family.
