It's an okayish restaurant overall. There was a huge crowd waiting, so it took nearly 20 minutes just for them to take our order. However, once the order was placed, the food was served quite fast. The taste was average -- not too great, but decent enough. Still, getting even an average-tasting North Indian meal like this in Kerala is comparatively better. Would recommend only if you're fine waiting and just want basic North Indian food in Kodaikanal.
TLDR; won't find other places with this much tasty, worth it food. We ordered coffee, pav bhaji, paratha, paneer butter masala, dal makhni, rice. Everything was amazing. We ate at 4 places in 2 days, but this place is worth every bite. I'll suggest, go and taste just the coffee and then anything else, you'll definitely like and love it. Tasty food and good vibe. Small place but definitely legacy home made food. The service is awesome, they watch every table. And believe me, wherever you go you won't find this food for sure, anywhere in Kodaikanal. Again, I'll suggest if you're hungry, have a meal and thank me later.
Would highly ecommend this place for vegetarian food and especially north dishes... We had Aloo, Gobi Paratha, Pav Bhaji and Panner with roti.. all dishes are good in taste as well as quality...prices are also budget friendly
Tava Vegetarian Visited this place multiple times for Lunch during my stay in Kodaikanal. Location: Located in the heart of Kodai Kanal near the Club. Parking: Parking can be a challenge due to the terrain and also the location of the restaurant. Ambience: Good, this is a small restaurant having a few tables inside the restaurant and a couple of them outside. Food Taste: A pure Vegetarian Restaurant. We tried many items during our visit like, Aloo Paratha, Paneer Paratha, Mix Veg Curry, Paneer Simla, Pulao, Milk shake, Chats. Their dry curries taste much better than the liquid gravies. In all, all the items tasted were very good. Pricing: Price of all the items are moderate, considering the place and the location. Payments: They accept both, Cash, UPI and Credit cards. My Verdict: A good place to dine, especially for Veg &North Indian food.
Most of the customers have given very good opinion about this restaurant food. It must be really good. Our bad luck that we could not appreciate the taste of the food . Sorry guys.
