Karaikudi Chettinad Mess

I dont understand why they re given 2.4 review. I personally think 5 is right number to be given. The owner cooks all the dishes. The food is amazingly yummy. It was my second visit during my stay at kodaikanal. I will come back again. Well done Sir you are doing great there.

One of the Worst Dining Experiences in Kodaikanal - Karaikudi Chettinad Mess We visited this place hoping for a quick and ready lunch, especially with kids. What we got instead was a frustrating, disorganized, and utterly disappointing ordeal. When we asked what was ready for lunch, they confidently listed biryani, fried rice, and more. Trusting their word, we placed a substantial order: Gobi Manchurian, Veg Fried Rice, Chicken Fried Rice, Chicken Noodles, and Chicken Biryani. The chaos began immediately. Dishes were served without any logical order. The Veg Fried Rice arrived first, followed by the Chicken Fried Rice. While we were halfway through our main course, we saw the waiter carrying a raw cauliflower, presumably to make our Gobi Manchurian. We immediately asked them to cancel the starter, as the main dishes were already being served and we were almost done. Despite our request, they still brought the Gobi Manchurian, which was not only late but also horribly undercooked. The cauliflower was still crunchy and hard. But the biggest disappointment was yet to come - the Biryani. After being told to wait 10 minutes because it was "on process," what finally arrived was an insult. A single, solitary piece of chicken in a dish that was so overwhelmingly spicy it was inedible. The overall quality was shockingly poor, and the staff's attitude was rude and dismissive. This place has no concept of customer service, timely serving, or quality control. It's a prime example of a restaurant that over-promises and under-delivers in the worst way possible. If you value your money and your taste buds, do yourself a favor and find a better, more reputable place to eat. Spend a little more for a 3-star and above hotel if you have to - it's worth avoiding this mess of a restaurant. Verdict: A complete waste of time and money. Avoid at all costs.

They don't have any manners or courtesy to handle customers. Worst ever food we had. They don't even have a manager nor they ready to listen. PLEASE AVOID THIS HOTEL in kodaikanal.

this is the worst of all in Kodaikanal I ordered for Mutton Biryani and I got big pieces of mutton bones only and whatever some meat that I could scratch out was also as toughest like a Hawaii slipper. I'm certain Karaikudi people eat better food than what they are serving in the name of Karaikudi. even the dosa is pathetic

Worst hotel in Kodaikanal... Staff behaviour is very rude.... It's not food it's slow poison.... Neat even their vessels are clean.... Drinking water is like drainage water... Bad, unhygienic, totally waste... Food safety department should cancel their licence....
