I've been going to this place since I was a kid. The place hasn't changed a bit. No upi payments no proper parking. Yet I visit this place frequently. The reason being the quality of the food and it's price. I am a big fan of their pongal and vadai. If you visiting with your family this place isn't the one I would recommend but if you want a budget friendly breakfast this is the place. Not once I've had a bad stomach eating here. Do pay a visit but only when you have a two Wheeler and when you are looking a budget shop.

This was one of my favourite spot in Madurai, I was happy to eat here when I was child, but if I visiting now feeling it was not trend(no digital payments such as UPI and card) and only self service for dine in, as we seen other hotel having those option will be an easy option for other to opt, need to develop these infrastructures.

Tread with Caution, PTR the Famous Hotel / Eatery of Madurai is NOW Sinking your Money! No Quantity - absolutely No. Everything Served 1/2 but Full 1 Price! Eg. For Rice Pongal they Serves you Half size (Compared to Chennai Eatery or Anywhere) and even you cannot get two chutneys! Completely exploiting in small meals, ie. Variety Rices! They have strict Instructions to Staff to give only 250 Gram and for Meals you know how much! 350 Grams! The Worse Shop Now but High Price! Quality does not mean Reduce Quantity! If you are in Madurai, at any Hotels, before Dining, See What/ How is Served to Others to Avoid sinking yOUR precious Money!
