SRI AMMAN MESS

It's always great to find a restaurant that serves the kinda food which you loved growing up. We took away from this place during Deepavali while on a day trip and enjoyed our meal to the brim. Chicken biriyani was delicious with right spiciness, moistness and tender meat. Chicken pallipalayam was made authentic and it was scrumptious as it's one of my favourite dishes. Country chicken fry was excellent with tender cooked chicken in spicy masala. Kadai pepper fry was another hit which was peppery and succulent. Chicken gravy was outstanding. The gravy was so so good that we thought of taking another parcel while returning. Meals was fulfilling too. The fact they marked all the gravies with labels tells us that they care for the customers. Quantity was bit less but nothing to complain as prices are reasonable too. Would love to visit here whenever I get a chance.

We went for dinner and had parotta , chicken pallipalyam, chilli chicken and mutton fry. Parotta was crispy and tasty. I like the chicken gravy they had but not the other two gravy at the table for the parotta. Both the other sides were good but not the chilli chicken. Overall it was good. Coconut chutney was really good .

Hi I visited this mess on 31st May, actually I walked in without seeing any google reviews but after looking at the cars parking on the road side I thought to go. Fantastic kuruma (3 varieties) phenomenal mutton dry, unbelievable crispy in parota no words to narrate pepper chicken, highly recommend for dinner

A Hidden Gem for Non-Veg Lovers - Sri Amman Mess, Gobichettipalayam. (Hidden - as we are first time comers and is slightly inside the main road) If you're in or around Gobichettipalayam and craving an authentic non-vegetarian meal, Sri Amman Mess is an absolute must-visit. We recently had their non-veg meals for lunch with 9 varieties of gravy, and it was a memorable experience from start to finish. The mutton side dishes were rich and flavorful, while the egg kalakki added a perfect local twist. To top it off, the meal concluded with a comforting soup, followed by curd and refreshing buttermilk -- the ideal wrap-up to a hearty feast. The service was truly top-notch. The staff were welcoming, efficient, and made sure we had everything we needed. The place retains its authenticity in both food and atmosphere -- simple, clean, and steeped in tradition. If you're new to the place, do follow the instructions from the servers on the order of eating the food -- trust me, you'll be mesmerized by the taste. Their way, enhances the experience and brings out the best in every bite. Plan your visit on a weekday for a smooth, hassle-free dining experience. Sri Amman Mess is a culinary treasure where tradition meets taste in the best way possible. Don't judge the hotel just by the looks. Sometimes, non hi-fi things can give you happiness, fullness and kicks. Not a Paid promotion!! FYI.

I'm placing a neutral rating because I went in high expectations based on reviews. Limited options available during the weekend (Saturday) which was not great but food was definitely good. Meals were supposed to have sides offered but here they are billed including curd. Parking isn't great inside and the roadside is completely without shade. Ok to try based on your pocket deepness.
