Good food. Suitable for non-vegetarians... No parking facility... Food is not expensive at all.. Mess opens at 7 am. But non-vegetarian food is available only from 9.30 am. Top notch - Plain dosa, mutton gravy and pepper chicken fry.. simply the best...
It's a small mess near the kalaimaatu salai. It's a busy junction in the town. Daily a lot of people will commute through this route. It's a popular mess in this place A lot of travellers while alight from the railway station will come down and have food in this mess. It's one of the mess who serves lot of non veg varieties for breakfast itself. I started with two idly(rs 13 per piece with Boti Fry(rs 130). Idly was hot and soft. It's one of the best combination. It was tasty and I have enjoyed a lot. They also served two chutneys which goes well with idly. Then I had Nice Dosa(rs 30) which was soft and crispy as expected and it goes well with Boti gravy. Then I finished with Parotta and it was hot, soft and fluffy. For this I had asked for chicken gravy and it was good too. Overall I had a tasty experience
Amazing experience having breakfast at Velu Mess. Landed in Erode at around 9AM, and the first thing I ate was hot idly and kudal curry, with dosa and a kalakki omelette. Phenomenal taste and quite reasonable prices too.
I am really confused why people are giving positive reviews for this restaurant. Very nasty place . Food is also very worst.
Paratha 20 just ok they served cold and salna loaded with heavy masala I avoid it.
