Yaa Mohaideen Biriyani

As dated on 04 October 2025, went to have lunch. The chicken Briyani was above average. The ambiance didn't feel good. The quantity of rice and chicken pieces was good. The taste and quality need to be improved a lot. The salt was very less. The bread halwa was so good... The Raitha (Curd) and brinjal curry also not good. The price seems to be bit high for chicken Briyani. The atmosphere definitely needs a lot to improve

I'm writing this while still sitting in the shop because I seriously can't believe how bad this food is. I ordered both chicken and mutton biryani, and I honestly regret every bite. The biryani looks decent on the plate, but the taste is just not there. It's basically colored tomato rice - no real biryani flavor, no aroma, nothing. The chicken is dry and tasteless, like it was cooked separately and just tossed on top. The mutton is chewy and bland. Even the egg was overcooked and hard like rubber. The grill piece had a flavor, but that's about it - felt more like an afterthought. What's shocking is that even a 150 roadside biryani tastes better than this. At least that has some real masala and heart in it. This? Just a big letdown in every way. I had high expectations, but worst experience

They started as push kart 30 yrs ago. Even though there are other outlets for Yaa mohaideen biryani, I always prefer this place. First time ordering here through swiggy. Have eaten here few years before. Mutton biriyani Juicy and well cooked mutton pieces and really aromatic. Chicken biriyani Juicy and tender pieces. Tasted really good. Pepper barbecue The chicken was tender and fresh. Not spicy and really a good combination with biriyani. Loved the barbecue. The spices added gave a good aroma even though it wasn't hot when delivered. The only issue I had was, the food became kinda cold because it takes nearly an hour for swiggy to deliver. So I suggest anyone ordering online to heat it before eating. Bread halwa my all time favorite. Yaa mohideen never disappointed me. Excellent biriyani and not spicy. #grateful

Very very below average and overpriced briyani. Travelled 25km to taste this but got disappointed at the end. It's only hype and nothing more than that. Even roadside briyani taste better than here. Charging 220 for 1/4 plate mutton briyani that too self service and without dining is horrible.

Briyani was excellent as usual. The only downside is that you have to visit the restaurant at specific time to get the fresh and boiling hot briyani. That's usually between 7:30 to 8pm in the evening. The outlook of the place isn't great and might be off putting for some people. The restaurant could make some minor renovations to keep the place fresh and hygienic. The service is below average as you are expected to reach out to the staff proactively to get your needs.
