Kipling Cafe

We visited Kipling Cafe on August 31st for a team lunch with my colleagues, and it was a really pleasant experience. The ambiance is beautiful, blending nature with greenery all around, and they have both indoor and outdoor dining options along with a separate bar section. The place also offers birthday celebration packages. We booked a table in advance, so there was no waiting time. Parking was free of charge, which was convenient. The food was decent - some dishes were really good, especially a few starters, but a couple felt like they were made from frozen items instead of fresh. Prices were not too high, which is a plus. The restrooms were well maintained and clean. They also provide high chairs for kids and even prepare kid-friendly meals on request. After lunch, we walked to Akkarai beach, which is just 500 meters away - a perfect addition to the outing. Overall, it was a great experience for a team lunch, and I'd recommend it for family gatherings or casual outings too.

I recently visited this place and the service/ staff was very nice and professional. The food here was good for taste but a little expensive. The atmosphere depends on the weather, but it was quite humid in the garden area so we chose seating under the fan. We went on a weekday, so it was very peaceful and we got to choose our seat. I would highly recommend trying Drunken Veg Noodles - it was something different and very tasty, 5/5. We tried garlic bread, french fries and alfredo pasta too- they were also good 4/5. An insect fell into the pasta, so they changed and gave us a fresh one, I would say the staff is very polite. They serve seafood/non veg options as well, but I'm a vegetarian so didn't try. Do try this place if you wanna chill at a romantic or beach side cafe.

Had a wonderful dining experience with my family at Kipling Cafe, ECR last night. The highlight of this place is undoubtedly its beautiful ambience - lush garden setting, and well-spaced gazebos that give a relaxed and upscale feel. It's equally suited for families, friends, and couples looking for a peaceful dining atmosphere. We tried a mix of dishes, and while a few stood out, some were on the bland side: Kipling Special Pizza - 4 (flavorful and well-baked) Smoky BBQ Chicken Salad - 3 (could have been more balanced in flavor) Layers of Lasagne - 3.5 (good but not remarkable) Rotis - 5 (soft and perfectly made) Indian Veg Gravy - 3 (average taste) Lychee Swirl - 5 (refreshing and worth it) Golden Apple Fizz - 2.5 (did not taste as expected may be ginger ale spoiled it) Service was attentive and polite, though a little on the slower side. Cleanliness and decor were top-notch and added to the overall memorable vibe. Pricing is definitely on the upscale side, so it's more about the ambience and experience than value-for-money portions. Overall, Kipling Cafe is a great choice for those who appreciate ambience, calm settings, and leisurely dining. Perfect for family gatherings, and even romantic outings. Just go with the mindset of enjoying the setting at a relaxed pace.

Im not a frequent cafe visitor, but i loved the ambience, we went around 6.45pm so there was very less crowd, we ordered 1.Chilly cheese garlic bread - loved it 2.Drunken chicken noodles- it was a bit different with slight chilly flavour, but it was good 3.honey mustard chicken - slightly the edges felt like eating paniyaram But overall the food was good Ambience wass excellent If you want to have a slow relaxed evening to chill with you loved one , its a great place

Visited recently.food was average over all , though spinach ravioli and drunken noodles were good.the service was quite poor,and the table arrangement felt messy and unorganised . Hoping they work on the service and setup.
