A good place to dine at Chennai especially on your way to Marine Kingdom. A small restaurant with good enough ambiance. The highlights are the independent cottage like rooms where you can dine in private with a small group or in person. There is a party location where you can arrange a big group gathering. The surroundings are well kept with plants and foliage. Food is well served, tasty and the portions are worthy of it's rate. Next time you are in Chennai, don't miss this location

We visited Food Village last week and expected a weekend crowd there but didn't see too many customers. The good thing about a restaurant like Food Village is that since its not a typical restaurant with tables in a single room, the crowd if any isn't really visible. The tables which are in individual huts are spaced out amidst the lush green gardens. The parking area is small and is likely to get quickly filled up. Right inside the entrance, there is an open kitchen to the right and huts to the left. There are green spaces everywhere in between. I did not see too many huts though. There are ducks and turkeys going about and any sudden movement seems to provoke them and they come chasing. We ordered Veg manchow soup, fresh lime soda, egg Biriyani, butter garlic naans, mushroom pepper masala, and veg spring rolls. All items with the exception of fresh lime soda were good. We had specifically asked for less sugar in the sweet, salt mixture but they seemed to have misunderstood the request. A flat sugary water was delivered to us. Waiting time for lunch wasn't much thanks to the less amount of customers there. There was a children's play area which is best avoided. Swings and everything else were rusted and not maintained well. There are couple of areas at the back of the restaurant which are meant for functions, receptions, birthday parties etc.

They offer a decent convention hall with a capacity to handle close to 120-150 easily. Their outdoor dining area gives a premium offerings. They have 2-3 hall spaces with huge parking too. Cheers guys.!!

A very good place for celebration of family special occasions. The ambience was good, The food was wonderful and its buffet system. 200 to 300 people capacity. Dining outside the open place was nice. At Rainey season it could be a bit difficult to have dining. Car parking has big space for more than 30 cars capacity. Over all good

The service is really good. The atmosphere is also very nice. The location is also pretty good considering that it's next to the main road itself. The staff also are very polite. The food is affordable. However the food is very average. I saw a review saying that mutton biriyani is very good and I went there for that. But MUTTON BIRIYANI was very bland and very tasteless. The other dishes i ordered were also very average. Would not be going there again. So if you are going only for the sake of food then i wouldn't recommend :(
