A natural area invaded by the Indian Railways! But the best part still in vogue is that one can cool oneself down by sipping "Raashi" just outside of the station!

Barbil station is now well maintained with propper sitting chairs for travellers along the station with electric fan overhead. Also there is separate waiting halls for travellers with basic amenities & smooth surface for easy carrying of luggage.. Station is surrounded by big redwood trees and a big banyan tree gives a very quite & peaceful natural feeling. There are small street vendors selling some useful stuffs. No proper restaurant or hotel can be found near it. Good hotels and restaurants can be easily found from few KM of it like luckyindia. The area around Barbil has a number of private iron ore mines. The Barbil-Joda region is the highest iron ore-producing region in the country.

Pathetic worst waiting hall, waiting hall are so bad. In 1st class waiting hall only 1 fan, sitting chairs are broken. Washroom are not cleaned bad smell.
