Mudkhed Junction

A small junction on Manmad - Secunderabad route. Line towards Adilabad-Wani-Chandrapur separates from here. Only a few trains halt here. The station is nice and calm. Devagiri express is a daily connectivity to Mumbai and Adilabad Nandigram express towards Adilabad. Dadar - Kazipet goes all the way towards Chandrapur. Water taps, food stalls etc available.

Mudkhed Jn. railway station is located in Maharashtra and here the rail line that comes from Nanded side is divided into two parts One is going towards Adilabad, Nagpur and another is going to Secunderabad through Nizamabad. The routes are single and completely dependent upon diesel locomotives cause the electrification is not done yet. So basically, Me and my grandmother are going to Hyderabad but our linking train was late. We arrived at mudkhed Jn. at midnight. I was tensed because the previous reviews were quite negative about this station. But the station seems to be good at midnight. RPF post is there and it's opened, the officials are sitting there for us. The Upper class waiting hall is closed and the second class is opened but not suitable. After waiting for sometime the train came and we safely boarded.

This is a big junction with clean platforms but not maintained well enough. The roof leaks at many places and there is trash on the tracks.

Mudkhed junction is junction point for adilabad & secundrabad. The station has 3 platforms. Basic amenities available for passengers. A snack stall is there & some vendors selling food.
