Gulan Thattukada

Gulan is a nearly round-the-clock thattukada, open from 11 am to 5 am, and it offers an extensive range of dishes. Situated close to the beachside, the atmosphere is pleasant and inviting. The service provided by the staff is impeccable, adding to the overall experience. Among the delectable dishes, the masala egg, pathal, and mayonnaise combo stands out as an exceptional choice. My taste buds were equally delighted by the fried chicken, pepper chicken, pathal, and tea. The prices are reasonable, making it a great place to savor delicious treats without breaking the bank. The only downside is that street parking is the sole option available.

I recently visited Gulan Thattukada in Sand Banks, Vatakara, and ordered the Beef Kappa Biriyani (quarter). Unfortunately, the taste was disappointing. The masala wasn't well-merged with the kappa, which affected the overall flavor. The surroundings were average, and the staff's behavior and service were okay. However, the hygiene could be improved. As a Thattukada, it's open only in the evenings, which might be convenient for some. Food Quality:Disappointing taste, masala not well-merged with kappa. Service:Staff behavior and service were okay. Overall, Gulan Thattukada needs to work on its food quality, particularly the preparation of its biriyani dishes, and maintain better hygiene to improve the dining experience. With some improvements, it could be a great spot for a quick evening meal.

The only juice stall which is open 24hrs ...have different juices, milkshakes, wide variety of kulukki sarbath... The last resort when people have to take a sip of tea or else delicious food made available at all the odd hours in vadakara... Had food around 3.30 am

The food is not bad. Rush at night. The thing is if you buy a curry item you wont get any gravy or any other side dish to eat. Only what you paid .
