Not the usual decorated or ambience oriented space but if you like the old school vibes u will love it here. A small cozy spot serving the tastiest food with the brightest smiles. Disclaimer: Finding a spot to sit can be difficult as it's a very small spot with just 4-5tables but the staff will for sure get u seated in no time if u have the patience. We had their vegetable Dosa/uttapam,ghee Dosa,Rasavada, uzhunuvada and coffee. All of these items were just delicious. The vegetable Dosa was surprisingly very good, fluffy and loaded with vegetables on top. The ghee Dosa was also very nice. Served with their thick chutney unlike the watery chutney in similar hotels. Our one order got a bit delayed and the staff was kind enough to compensate and serve us a portion of their Vegetable kurma curry and it was spot on. The best kurma curry I have ever had. We also tried their hot long grain wheat halwa and Kesari. You can get it as take away or have it steaming hot. Two portions for 40rs is great. Everything we had their was awesome and the service was exceptional. All those smiling faces and that delicious food will have your stomach and heart feeling contempt.

Balaji Cafe in Thiruvananthapuram -- a nice little spot near the Padmanabhaswamy Temple. Went there hoping to grab some wheat ghee halwa, but it wasn't available that day. Tried their pineapple kesari instead -- and it was really good! Sweet, soft, and full of flavor The place has a simple, old-school vibe. Service was quick and the staff were friendly. Great for a quick bite if you're craving some classic South Indian snacks and sweets. Will definitely drop by again, hopefully when the halwa's back on the menu!

had padi dosa from this hotel. excellent authentic rustic taste....never exprerice such taste from newgen veg hotel. most of the customers are seen from local brahmin community. May be this is the reason for the different taste...addicted to the taste...but seating space and service are average..you can also purchase wheat halwa from a counter near by...highly recommended...
