The place offers good food at affordable rates. We opted for biryani for lunch and since the beef was over, got ourselves the chicken biryani. It was a malabar style khyma rice biryani and is decently tasty. The beef fry was very good with a peppery aftertaste. They were very crowded that day and service felt a bit cumbersome. Recommended.
I had a very disappointing experience with the staff at this place. They clearly show preference to large tour groups over individual families. If you're part of a group and your tour guide or bus driver has a deal with them, you will be served promptly, Otherwise, be prepared for a long wait and rude behavior . The staff even dictated what we should eat and told us, quite bluntly, to "take it or leave it." After waiting for a long time, I had to leave with my family, without being served. Ironically, even guests in group tours seemed to face the same arrogance from the staff, though they were at least served food. I strongly suggest avoiding this place if you're traveling as a small family or group.
Tried barota and chappathi here . It was soft and good. beaf fry was bit hard to chew for me. But this is the famous restaurant for tourist who are planning to visit Kanthalur but staying in Marayur.
Awesome Food with best pricing. their Thalasseri Chicken and Beef biryani was too good. the kerela means were goof too. overall very good food and i believe one of the first restaurant when you enter Kerela from Tamil Nadu side. adequate parking and clean toilets available beside the restaurant. recommended.
I would say this is the fine and best place for lunch options in Marayoor, they only have kerala rice for lunch, their biriyani was awesome, we tried both beef and chicken . Also tried their garlic chicken and that too tastes well. Overall this is the best for lunch in Marayoor, no other second option you can go here.
