The Asian Wing Chicken was good, but the Chef's Special Chicken Curry was a big letdown--the chicken was undercooked and rubbery. The Chicken Fried Rice had too much egg and lacked flavor. The Tandoori Chicken was also disappointing, tasting like cheap, low-quality Alfaham. For the price paid, I expected much better quality and proper cooking. Won't be ordering again.

Food Quality & Variety: The food here is excellent, especially their Arabian and Chinese dishes. The Mandi served is one of the best I've had in Kerala - perfectly cooked rice with juicy, flavorful meat, and a unique touch of spices that makes it stand out. Their shawarma, roasted chicken, and Chinese items like chili chicken and fried rice are also top-notch. The portion sizes are generous, and everything tasted freshly prepared. Ambience & Vibe: The ambience is one of the key highlights. The restaurant is spacious, clean, and has a beautiful view of the backwaters which adds a calm and refreshing vibe to the entire dining experience. Whether you're with family or on a long road trip, this place gives you a nice break from the highway rush. Service: The service was quick and courteous. Staff were well-behaved, attentive, and ensured we had a smooth experience from the moment we entered. Food was served on time and hot. Convenience & Parking: Being right next to the highway and close to the toll gate, it's super easy to access. There's ample parking space for cars, bikes, and even larger vehicles, which is great for those traveling with family or in groups. Overall Verdict: Al Saj Kitchen is a fantastic highway stop that combines great food, peaceful ambience, and solid service - all at reasonable prices. A perfect spot for anyone traveling through this route. I'll definitely be stopping here again on my next trip!

Disappointing experience at Al Saj Kitchen! We were a group of eight, and from the start, the service was pushy and inconsiderate. Our waiter seemed more interested in selling specific dishes, like a beef item and jackfruit delight, rather than listening to our orders. The food was just average, with some major issues. The sweet corn chicken soup was overly thick and jelly-like due to too much cornflour. The kubboos had uncooked maida all over it, which was a major letdown. The peri peri alfaham was a small portion, almost half the size of the normal alfaham. Only the normal alfaham was tender and juicy. Overall, the experience was marred by poor service and subpar food. Not recommended.

I recently visited Alsaj and had an amazing experience! The food was incredible - we tried Alfahm, noodles, butter chicken, nool porotta, chicken 65, kuzhimandhi, and many more dishes, and everything was delicious and of great quality. The hospitality was top-notch from start to finish, and the ambiance was stunning with beautiful lights and a rich atmosphere. We also loved the spacious dine-in area. One of the highlights was the excellent car parking facility, and the view of the backwaters from the top floor was breathtaking. It's a great spot for those passing through Alappuzha to Ernakulam, as it can accommodate a large number of people at once. The interior design of the restaurant is impressive. My only suggestion would be to play a variety of videos or channels on the TV screens, as it would keep people engaged while they wait for their food. Overall, Alsaj is a must-visit for great food, ambiance, and service. Highly recommended.

Poor experience! The only good part of our whole lunch experience at this new restaurant was some side dishes and the fish curry you get with fish meals! The specials were all poor, beef fry was so spicy that we didn't complete the dish. Kalanji tawa fry was over priced considering the portion and masala felt bland and undercooked. Some side dishes like chammanthi were also over spicy. Have a large parking space. Not recommended!
