The Grand Hotel offers a delightful blend of history and flavor. This charming, vintage spot is renowned for its delicious Kerala cuisine, especially their acclaimed biryani and unique porotta puffs. With good service and a nostalgic ambiance, it's perfect for a satisfying meal. The food taste is awesome, making it a must-visit for authentic flavors and a comfortable experience. Be aware that parking can be a bit challenging as there's limited dedicated space.

Constructed in the late 19th century, the Grand Hotel proudly advertises itself as having the world's largest porch and has hosted many notable visitors, including five U.S. presidents, inventor Thomas Edison, and author Mark Twain. I had the chance to try their biriyani and porotta puffs, and both were delicious -- full of flavor and truly enjoyable. The service was decent, and I appreciate how the hotel has preserved its original charm by maintaining the old architectural design. Overall, it's a place that blends history with good food, making it worth a visit.

Update: Tried their Beef roast and porotta. This is one of the best Beef roast I ever had. Its a must try! We tried beef and mutton Biriyani. I loved the taste of the meat. But rice lacked flavor and smell. I think the over expectation caused the disappointment.

Their porotta puffs are unique and famous, but more for tradition than exceptional taste--mutton dishes, however, are outstanding and keep regulars coming back.
