Visiting this place after 22 years and it refreshed all the childhood memories. MR used to be the go to place back in those days when mom n dad used to say let's eat out on a Sunday. You score good marks then MR masala dosa used to be the reward . Good old days! Well fast forward to 2025 - a little bit of renovation but the taste is still the same in MR. Gem of a restaurant in the heart of Vijayapura. 10/10

Visited Sep 2024. I was in a hurry so I could only have single Idli-Vada and Coffee (Rs 77 total). The waiter bought the food quickly as I asked him to. Food was quite good. Will visit again when I have more time and write a better review :-) Pics attached, even of menu card. EDIT : second visit had Idli, Puri and two coffee (Rs 122 total). Food was good, coffee v good. Pics attached. EDIT : third visit. Upma (Rs 40) and Mysore Masala Dosa (Rs 75). Both were excellent. Pick out the chilly pieces from the Upma ;-) Pics attached. EDIT : fourth visit. Benne Dosa. Superb. Tasty. Dosa fried perfectly. Batata Bhaji v tasty. PIcs attached. EDIT : another visit. Rava Idli (Rs 35) and Set Dosa (Rs 70). Both very nice. Pics attached. I forgot to mention that this restaurant ia very generous with the chutneys and sambar.

I had a wonderful experience at Mysore Restaurant, Vijayapura. The food was fresh, flavorful, and served hot. I tried the Puri Plate and the Benne Dosa, along with a cup of Masala Tea - all of them were delicious and authentic South Indian classics. The puris were crisp and light, served with tasty curry and chutneys, while the benne dosa had that perfect soft-crispy texture with rich buttery flavor. The masala tea was strong and refreshing, a perfect finish to the meal. Service was quick and friendly, the place was clean and comfortable, and prices are very reasonable (my bill for three items was only 167). Overall, this is a must-visit spot in Vijayapura for anyone who enjoys traditional South Indian vegetarian food. Highly recommended!

This place is one of the best in the town. I have been going here since I was a kid and the last time I went was last week. The taste is absolutely the same and the quality hasn't changed at all. The amazing amazing taste of the "benne dosa" is a must try. Might seem a little off with its ambiance but trust me the food is just too good. Once it was a big brand & prode of the city. Now it is pushed down in the competition. Not able to upgrade itself has remained as a very common restaurant, Lodging is not at all in the competition list. Food service is very fast & good.. Finally they are upgrading themselves now with north and Chinese cuisine, hope old brand value comes...

This is one of the famous and old restaurants of Bijapur. The layout of the hotel is still same for more than 30 years old. The taste and quality of food is also excellent. You must visit of you are in Bijapur.
