Mitra Samaj

I recently visited Mitra Samaj, one of the oldest and most popular hotels around. It was quite crowded when I went, which shows how well-known it is. I tried their golibaje, bans, biskut roti, and coffee -- the food was okay, nothing exceptional, but decent enough for a quick bite. The place still carries that old-school charm, which adds to its appeal.

This is small and simple restaurant just few metres away from Shri Krishna Temple. They serve excellent vegetarian dishes (snacks only, no lunch or dinner). Please see the timigs before visiting. All their dishes are very tasty and have a typical Udupi taste with garlic or onion. It is very affordable. Yu may find a queue in the morning and evening due to its popularity.

One of the prominent old restaurant which has a delicious taste of pure udupi taste foods. If you are in mangalore then you must visit here, it is close by krishna matt temple. Every dish is mind blowing and I am sure you will end up eating multiple variety dishes. Parking is little away, timings are 7am to 12pm and 4pm to 7pm. Wednesday closed. So plan accordingly as its always crowded to get seats.

This hotel is just inside the temple campus and serves amazing food. One can experience the authentic Karnataka cousin here. Nice and rustic place having basic seating giving a vibes of old village eateries. Price is good and service is amazing.

I would give -10 star because The food here is good and has the authentic Udupi taste, but the experience is spoiled by the staff's behaviour. The service feels careless, and at times the staff come across as rude and disinterested in customers. Even basic requests are often ignored or attended to very late. For a place with such a strong name and reputation, this level of customer care is disappointing. If the management focused more on staff training and courtesy, the restaurant could truly match its legacy.
