Small clean place run as a family business! There are only 3 things on the menu - idly, vada and poori plus tea and coffee served! You have options to sit on the floor or table to be served a banana leaf . The meal starts with idly , vada followed by chutney and a crossover between a sagu / sambar ! Poori is next , they keep coming back for repeat until there is a final call for tea and coffee ! You keep tab of all things eaten so far and pay at the counter! This is one of the oldest restaurant in sringeri to have food items. They have shifted to new location which is 3 shops after old location and can easily be rectified due to the large name boards. Food: They have limited breakfast items i.e idli, vada, puri, tea, coffee, milk. All of the food items are good but nothing exceptional in taste as mentioned by so called social media influencers. They serve the food in banana leaves and gives positive vibe for sure. Ambience: It has a traditional ambience where people can have food on floor as well as tables. They serve food with special care and maintain a hygiene. Unlike other hotels where food is served on per plate basis, they continue to serve as long as you ask. The billing is done based on the number of items you consumed. Pricing: The pricing is increased and they charge 15 rupees per item. It was priced 10 rupees earlier which was a value for money option. Parking: One needs to park their vehicles on the street. I think the social media made this place populor and I tired this place because of that. The main selling point was the ambience and pricing earlier. But since the pricing is increased it is little hard to find the value for money quotient as the food taste is above average and not exceptional. But they continue to have the positive vibe here which is the main reason to visit. This will be good option for outsiders due to its unique ambience but not for regular goers.

Tiffen in Sringeri and Holla's mess are synonyms, they are inseparable and there is no better place. They have renovated the place. Though I miss the earlier rustic look, taste and hospitality are still the same. Only #idli #vada #poori are served, along with #filtercoffee #tea #badammilk at just 15 each! It surely is a mandatory visit.

Very hard to find such hotels in kaliyug where they don't count on how much we ate. It felt as though we had walked to our relatives home and were having food just like that, very casual way. It's a very small space, which accomodates upto 40 people inside the hotel - have table dining for 10 people , and 30 people can sit on the floor. We had been for breakfast during navarathri at 9am and the wai time was 40min. One batch takes upto 30min to get over. They will give banana plaintain leaf , serve idly chutney, vada sambar, poori bhaji , at the end coffee and tea. You can keep count of how much of each dish you had and at the end they will come and ask how much of what we had and bill accordingly. Until cleaning of one batch is done, next batch is not let in. Parcel is also available. No seperate cash counter. No washroom. Was it worth 40min wait time? Definitely because this is one in a kind of experience. Definitely a very positive atmosphere.

The usp of this place is no onion no garlic and that's about it, it's over hyped by social media influencers and each item(idly vade poori) is set at 15 which isn't cheap nor the taste justifies it. The idli was hot n soft but the rest of the items were okish , the chutney is ok but the sambar and sagu don't have any taste but the worst part is the cleanliness, the person is sweeping the floor and doesn't wash the hand and puts his fingers in the water tumbler and serves idlis in the same hand without washing his hands.
