Sri Meenakshi Bhavan

One of the top breakfast serving restaurants in Shimogga. Got referred to this by a local. Also saw that the high ratings and planned to pay a visit and was least disappointed. The ambience of the place was good. Ordered a Masala Dosa and Special Coffee. Dosa was outstanding. Coffee was good too. Service was a bit slow as it was their first Dosa order. Another important thing about this restaurant is that they only take cash, no upi payments are accepted. Also, the menu price is exclusive of taxes. Found that the price was slightly on the high side. But nothing can beat the quality and taste. Would surely recommend.

The place was recommended by my father, he used to eat here when is was a teenager. This was and is a very popular breakfast spots in the city. I would highly recommend this place. Have the Vada it is crispy and soft inside it's an absolute delight. We had masala dose, idly Vada and coffee. All the food we ate was delicious and the service was lovely. The atmosphere of the restaurant was very welcoming and friendly, the place holds a lot of memories and can be seen when you enter the restaurant. The restaurant has been renovated a bit but its still has the it's antique vibes to it. When we went they didn't expect upi only cash not sure about cards

Delicious South Indian Food at Meenakshi Bhavan, Shimoga Had an absolutely delightful meal at Meenakshi Bhavan! The food was authentic, flavorful, and served hot and fresh. The dosae were perfectly crisp, the chutneys and sambar were bursting with taste, the avalakki with mosaru was finger licking good, the puddu was soft & fluffy and the filter coffee was the perfect finish to the meal. The place is clean, well-maintained, and has a traditional charm. Service was quick and courteous despite it being quite crowded -- a sign of how popular this place is among locals and visitors alike. Highly recommend this place if you're in Shimoga and craving delicious South Indian food. Will definitely be coming back!

You can taste fried gram in chutney, yummy fermented batter in dosay, coffee beans in coffee, soul of the food can be tasted in every dish here. Note that UPI payment isn't accepted only cash. Malnad flavor in every dish is unmatched & can't be found in any other hotel. Must visit hotel when you are passing Shimoga or staying there. Bon appetite..

Amazing food. The vada was crispy and tasty. The Masala dosa was not that good The vada was delicious but we got only 1 as we were late and wasn't available. The special coffee was superstar of the lot. Amazing quality and quantity. Just going another time just to have the coffee.
