Visited Hotel Machli while passing through Moodbidri. Fish meals with prawns pudi was decent. The chicken biryani is not Hyderabadi or Malabar style, but it was good, the pieces were tender & rice was flavorful. Angal tawa fry & bolanjir rava was Ok for the price. Prawns gee roast was good, finally ended the meal with a refreshing glass of masala buttermilk . Food was affordable and hearty.

The food was really yummy. Fish rice thali had veg curry and fish curry. Even extra rice will be served. Chicken sukka was tasty. Ordered fish masala fry and tawa fry, both were nice. Fish was fresh, nicely fried. Butter milk is like cherry on the top! Best drink after lunch. Biriyani, chicken kebab, and noodles are other good options available here. Must visit fish restaurant around the area.

Hotel Machli is a good place with great food. Dont let the appearance get the better of you. The food here is to die for. What to try? Definitely you should try the chicken ghee roast. Here if you order a side dish it comes with a serving of rice, curry, dal, one type of vegetable baji and pickle. This place is famous for its seafood, obviously it is all in the name. I personally recommend to dry bhondas ghee roast ( squid). What else? There is fish fry, chicken chilli and chicken 65. If you are in this area in the near future do come to this place.
