5 star place straight away for such gorgeous food. Started with their Chikku and Pineapple sheera. It took me straight to heaven. Perfect sweetness and good amts of chikku and pineapple. Their Mysore masala dosa and Plain masala dosa were thin , crispy and had the most lovely coconut chutney ever. Vada was sent down from the angels and was pure crispness and served hot and fresh. To end with the Dahi vada was picture perfect with fresh and thick curd served with a small vada and drizzled with boondi. MUST try for all Breakfast lovers in Mangalore.

I've been going to Anmol for almost 14 years now and the food has never disappointed. Everything is always fresh, flavourful, and just hits the spot every single time. Whether it's a quick bite or a full meal, they've kept the quality consistent over the years and that's saying something! One of the best things about Anmol is how they fry all their fritters fresh after you order. Nothing reheated or sitting around. The moment it hits your table it's hot, crispy, and packed with flavour. Their seasonal fruit juices are also a treat. They taste like you're biting right into the fruit, not drinking some sugary syrup. And the menu? Full of local crowd favourites with plenty of variety, so there's always something for everyone. Prices are very reasonable too, which makes it a go to place for regular meals without burning a hole in your pocket. One tip though - always eat downstairs. The AC section upstairs is a different story. Service there is super slow, they often mess up your order, and worst of all, they charge extra just for sitting in AC even though they don't really give you better service. It's just not worth it. So if you're heading to Anmol, stick to the ground floor and enjoy their amazing food the way it's meant to be enjoyed!

Anmol Hotel in Mangaluru pleasantly surprised me with its authentic and flavorful offerings, especially the Chikku Sheera and Sajje Roti. The Chikku Sheera was the highlight -- warm, rich, and made with perfectly ripened sapota (chikoo). It had a smooth, slightly grainy texture and was mildly sweet, just enough to make it indulgent without being heavy. The ghee and cardamom added a lovely depth, and the roasted cashews gave it a nice crunch. It tasted fresh and homemade -- a nostalgic treat for anyone who enjoys traditional Indian sweets. Alongside that, the Sajje Roti (made from pearl millet) was equally impressive. It was soft yet had a hearty, rustic texture that paired beautifully with their coconut chutney and vegetable curry. Sajje Roti is not easy to get right, but Anmol nailed the balance between softness and structure -- it didn't fall apart, nor was it too dry. Together, these two dishes offered a wholesome, traditional experience that's hard to find in city restaurants these days. If you're in or around Mangaluru and enjoy regional, millet-based food, Anmol Hotel is definitely worth a stop.

I visited this joint yesterday for breakfast. While the exterior doesn't look very inviting, the seating inside is comfortable. I tried the Dahi Avalakki, as recommended by my colleagues, and it turned out to be quite tasty - more of a snack than a full meal. The prices are on the higher side for an average person, but I still recommend visiting at least once to experience their unique menu. The atmosphere is decent, and the hygiene inside the place is well-maintained.

Tried their veg thali and absolutely loved it! The quantity was just right -- not too much, not too little -- and every item had its own authentic flavour. From the saar and gassi to the palya and the delicious sheera, everything was fresh, balanced, and comforting. The sheera in particular was a standout -- soft, warm, and not overly sweet.
