We thoroughly enjoyed the non-vegetarian selection at this restaurant. The Crab Thali with Ragi Satva was particularly outstanding and highly recommended and the Gadbad ice cream was a fun, memorable treat. A superb choice for anyone looking for great non-veg options.

A very good option for both Veg & Non Vegetarian food in Kumta area. We were looking for a restaurant to have lunch while moving from Honnavar to Gokarna. We checked for 5-6 restaurants on the way but finally had a lunch at Chowdeshwari Garden Restaurant. Parking - They have parking space which can accommodate 3-4 cars and 5-6 two wheelers. Ambiance - we found that, it is simple yet nice restaurant serving fresh and delicious food. They have 3 seating options (one at the ground floor, next on the first floor and another at the back side of main restaurant). Food (Quality, Quantity & Pricing) - We opted to have a Chicken Thali, 2 Promplet Thali and a Lady Fish Thali and a Prawns Chilli Garlic Masala. The Promplet, Lady Fish, Prawns and Chicken all were fresh and nicely prepared and cooked. The thali has rice, curry and 2 veg subjis in it. The Aamla Aachar (Leasua Gunda / Desi Kair Pickle) was nice and tasty. They don't serve Roti/Chapati with the thali and need to order separately. We had requested them to help us with baby food and they just did wonderful job with it. A big thanks for it. The owner herself talked to us regarding the fish varieties and showed us the raw fishes to choose from. The suggestions/recommendations were great and helpful to select the fish. We also observed that many other loca visitors were ordering Chicken Biryani at this restaurant. Cleanliness and Hygiene - The restaurant was pretty clean and well maintained. Staff & Service - The staff members were welcoming and they attended us promptly. The instructions and requests were handled carefully and politely. The staff was quick with the service and made sure the service experience is nice and pleasant for us. Overall it was fantastic experience and a wise decision to have our lunch at Chowdeshwari Garden Restaurant in Kumta.

Too good restaurant with budget friendly too good taste the owner itself is too good a to z is good must try if your new

We were there looking at the previous great reviews, the fish wasn't cooked well, prawn ghee roast was not tasty either, some fishes were spoilt and uncooked. Not a good seafood restaurant. Quality poor, the cook shld know abt not serving spoilt fish. Who serves basmati rice fried rice . Nice walking catfish aquarium

Although we were rushing, the restaurant offered quick service. The quantity of veg food was great with delicious taste. If you are visiting Kumta and looking for a delicacy this hotel is a must visit.
