Absolutely loved this place! The food was fresh, flavorful, Every dish was well-prepared -- especially the kali dosa, masala dosa and gulab jamoon, but in idli sambar (sambar was not upto the mark). The ambiance was clean, and the staff were polite and attentive. Great value for money.
If you're in Chitradurga and miss this place, you're basically committing culinary sin. The Sheera is bliss in its simplest form, and the Neera Masala Dosa is the star that overshadows everything else on the menu. The 20 - 70 Rs pricing feels like it's frozen in time, much like the taste itself. Just one warning: with barely 10 seats, this place runs on patience and waiting lines. Lunch hour? May the odds be ever in your favor.
Operating since 70 years this hotel is famed for it's Khali Dosa. Made a pitstop for breakfast when travelling to Shivamogga. Hotel has Self Service area in the Ground floor & Service hall at the 1st floor. Ambience is still the Old Hotel style & calls for some maintenance. Service hall was empty as we were the early birds. Placed order for, Idly-4/5 Khali Dosa-5/5 Masala Dosa-4/5 Chow chow bath-5/5 Coffee-4/5 This would be 3rd visit & the Khali Dosa has retained it's charm as it was. Idly didn't appeal much. Masala Dosa could have been bit roasted & crispy. Khara Bath & Kesari Bath was impressive. They accept only Cash & no other means. Prices may have been hiked in the recent times & doesn't justify the portion size.
Over hype given. Kindly avoid visiting. Try anything new. It's still 70 yrs old ambience and nothing special. ** Super expensive and taste, service not good. Kali dose very good ** online payment not applicable. Only cash
