The Bangalore Tiffins

Due to my exams, I was in solan for a week exploring different flavours... I had a lovely brunch at Bangalore Tiffins, a cozy South Indian gem on Mall Road, Solan. The place came highly recommended by my friend and he was absolutely right! The ambience was homely and calm. Owner (aunty ji) was an army school teacher earlier... Loved talking to her. I tried the Podi Idli, Paneer Dosa, and of course, their Filtered Coffee - which was so good, I had it twice Each dish had that perfect blend of authentic South Indian flavor.I enjoyed my food, licking my fingers.. What really touched me was the beautiful way they start their day.Staff n aunty ji, gathered to chant a mantra in praise of Maa AnnaPoornadevi (if I'm not wrong). It gave such a serene and positive vibe to the morning -a rare and heartwarming sight. If you're in Solan and craving genuine South Indian food with soul, this place is a must-visit ...I'll definitely recommend you...but it's on mall road , so parking is not an option here... Enjoy the mall road by walk n visit there .

While traveling from Bangalore to Shimla, we made a pit stop in Solan, The Bangalore Tiffins. As the name suggests, this restaurant specializes in South Indian cuisine, and it did not disappoint! From the moment we walked in, the staff was incredibly welcoming and attentive. They were efficient, friendly, and eager to help us choose from the menu. But the real star of the show was the food! We were craving a classic South Indian dish, and their Dosas was absolutely fantastic. Crispy, flavorful, and served with delicious sambar and chutneys, it was the perfect pick-me-up after a long drive. It genuinely tasted like it was directly from Bangalore.

It was really good. If you're finding south indian food I would highly recommended this place. Quality wise top notch, and atmosphere is also good. But yeah it'll open at 11am , could be open early.

Great south Indian food for those wanting to connect with this cuisine. Poor entrance, great place inside and quality chutneys to match the fresh hot vadas, idlis and dosas.

One of the rare 5 star rated place of Solan, and justified. Yu he nahi Veteran Actor Ashish Vidyarthi Sir ki favourite jageh hae, totally worth the hype. Trust me it may seem like a paid post but it isn't, I travel regularly and have tried dosa of all sorts but theirs is just yumm. Pros 1. Quick preparation time so wait time is less. 2. Polite plus hasmukh staff and owners. 3. Highly recommended is vada( soooo crispy and soft). 4. A lot of options in menu. 5. Aesthetic and thoughtful interiors. 6. Quality of food is excellent. Con 1. Only major con is less space, you may have to wait for sometime on weekends and holidays as space is limited. Pro tip 1. Don't worry if you see less chutney with your order you can always ask for refill without extra charges. 2. Solan pro tip is mall road closes for traffic after 5 pm so park your personal space only in official parkings if you plan to visit it. If you have parked it on mall road and not moved it before 5 pm the fines are heavy
