I recently visited Dada Boudi Restaurant in Sodepur, and the experience was quite memorable. The place is always buzzing with people, which itself speaks volumes about its popularity. Their biryani is undoubtedly the star attraction--fragrant, flavorful, and filling. The meat pieces were tender and well-cooked, making the meal satisfying.
That said, the rush can sometimes feel overwhelming, and seating isn't the most comfortable if you're looking for a relaxed dine-in experience. Service is quick but not very personal, given the crowd. Still, if you're in Sodepur and craving a hearty biryani, Dada Boudi is definitely worth a try.

We visited this Dada Boudi outlet in Sodepur to celebrate my mom's birthday. Since it wasn't a weekend, we luckily avoided the long queues and got seated quickly.
However, the place was extremely crowded, and we had to share a rather small table with another family. The overall space felt congested, which made the dine in experience quite uncomfortable.
Coming to the food, we ordered Chicken Tikka Kabab, Special Mutton Biryani, Mutton Rogan Josh, Mutton Liver Fry, Basmati Rice, and Mutton Kosha. The kababs were juicy and delicious, while the Mutton Liver Fry stood out as my personal favorite. As always, the biryani lived up to its reputation and was the star of the meal. Unfortunately, the other mutton dishes were underwhelming, and the pieces didn't quite meet our expectations.
On the brighter side, service was prompt despite the heavy rush, and the pricing felt reasonable for the quality offered.
Overall, if you're going purely for the food, I'd recommend opting for a takeaway. The dine in experience, given the cramped seating arrangements, doesn't quite do justice to the otherwise good food.

Had lunch at Dada Boudi Restaurant in Sodepur with my boyfriend and family, and it was a great experience overall. We ordered chicken malai kebab, hot basil chicken, two special mutton biryanis, one normal mutton biryani, and four cold drinks. The food was honestly really good! The **mutton pieces in the biryani were super soft, tender, and juicy**, and the portion sizes were massive. The biryani rice was flavorful, perfectly spiced, and had that rich aroma you expect from a good biryani. But the real star of the meal was the **malai chicken**--it was incredibly creamy, tender, and just melted in the mouth. Every dish we ordered was well-made, and the quantity was more than enough for all of us. **Nothing disappointed**, which is rare when trying out a new place. The total bill came to around **2,600**, which was pretty reasonable for the amount and quality of food we had. The only thing that could have been better was the ambience--it's a **small place with just one floor for seating**, and it can feel a bit cramped. But honestly, when the food is this good, you don't mind the space as much. Definitely a place I'd go back to for a proper biryani fix!

Pros
The place is easily accessible for people of Kolkata given the metro connectivity. In case of personal vehicles, the road is great. The staffs are extremely courteous. Would like to mention that we had a problem regarding the Aloo of the Biriyani served as it was undercooked. They immediately changed and gave a fresh piece. Thus they are ready to serve you the best.
Cons
Nothing much to mention when food and service is great. Maybe the atmosphere of the place can be a bit more developed. It can be a bit more soothing.
Please Note: The review is based on Biriyani and allied foods. Not the other type of cuisines available at this outlet.

1 Star - Very Disappointing Experience
I usually don't write reviews, but today's experience left me with no choice. We were two people who ordered multiple dishes, but the restaurant served only one plate. When I politely requested an extra plate so we could share, the staff -- most likely the manager -- rudely replied, "You ordered biryani, that comes with a plate." Such unprofessional and arrogant behavior is unacceptable in any hospitality setting.
The attitude of the staff made us feel extremely unwelcome, as if they held a grudge against every customer. On top of that, the food itself was no better -- poorly cooked, lacking flavor, and overall not worth the money.
This was my first and definitely my last time ordering from this place. I strongly advise my friends and others to think twice before dining here. There are far better restaurants that value their customers and serve decent food.
