Spicy Biryani (restaurant)

Absolute Third Class Resturant. We were 7 people. We were served food in normal paper plate. We told the staff to serve but they denied and told to serve our own. Food quality also doesn't belong to any standard resturants. Even needed to ask for spoons as they didn't provide. Last but not the least, we got hair in food. We complained about it but they ignored and told from next time they will think about it. Worst resturant that exists on the banks of Ganga, Chandannagar strand road.Most of the items were not available from the menu provided.One request, if you are smart enough, then please avoid this resturant.

I've been visiting Spicy Biryani in Chandannagar quite often, and usually, it's been a pleasant experience. The food here is decent -we had the chicken biryani and chicken pakora this time, and the biryani was quite flavorful as always. The ambience is really good, and it's generally a nice place to hang out with friends. However, my last visit (about a week ago) with friends left us disappointed due to poor hygiene and service. One particular waiter was handling everything - wiping the table, handing over cutlery, and serving food without washing his hands even once. He used the same hand to place salad directly on our plates after cleaning the table, which was extremely unhygienic. What disturbed us most was when he gave us visibly dirty plates with food stuck from previous customers. Upon requesting a fresh one, he simply brought a stack of plates and asked us to pick from it ourselves. His repeated silent interruptions during our meal made us quite uncomfortable. From the expressions of other staff, it was clear that they too were uneasy about his behavior. We reported the issue at the reception before leaving and hope the management takes this seriously. A place with such good food and ambience shouldn't suffer due to lack of basic hygiene and poor service standards. I've reviewed this place earlier more positively, but unfortunately, this visit left a bitter impression. Let's hope the team looks into this matter and improves the situation.

The only thing about this perticular resturant is biryani, which is really good. But I recently tasted the egg chicken roll and it was not upto the mark. The laccha of the roll was very thick and they added may be kewra water or ator while processing the chicken stuff which was disgusting and I also tasted chicken lollypop that was also not upto the mark taste wise.

I tried their lachcha parantha, chicken lollipop and chicken tikka masala. Overall, the food was great, and reasonable in price.

Pray, eat biryani from outside for 50 taka, but don't eat biryani from this shop. You'll forget what real biryani tastes like! First, learn how to make biryani properly and then make it. Besides, the behavior of the staff here is not good at all.
