I am from uttrakhand so I ordered pahadi thali and the taste was unbeatable. It makes you feel your childhood memories. The taste was authentic without any kind of adulteration or unneeded fancies. If you are looking for a healthy authentic cultural taste then this is the place. The ambience is not like any fancy restaurants, it's simple and hygienic. 4-wheeler parking options are not available.
I visited the Shiva Restaurant.Tried the Chole Bhature and Chole Tikki Chaat -- both were absolutely delicious. The flavors were spot on, and the food was fresh and satisfying. A great stop if you're craving some tasty North Indian street-style food in Nainital!

I recently dined at Shiva Restaurant in Bara Bazaar, Nainital, and it was a delightful experience. The Kumaoni thali was a true highlight, especially the saag with maki ki roti and the heavenly gajar halwa. Special thanks to Pankaj Ji, the owner, for his outstanding hospitality, and to Naveen for the prompt service and serving everything piping hot. Highly recommend this place and looking forward to visiting again soon.
