House of Dosas

Visited House of Dosas, Banjara Hills. A Gold Dosa here costs 916, which felt too steep, so we tried a few other items worth 650. Dip Idly (150): Expected ghee-dipped version (like in reels), but got a fresh idly with chutney, ghee, and podi sprinkled. Average, not worth the hype. Tawa Idly (140): Crispy, hot, and flavorful -- the best among what we ordered. Udakapettina Karam Dosa (140): Nothing but steamed dosa, lacked the feel of dosa, chutney and karam didn't click. Plate Idly: Decent Erra Karam Dosa with Bombay Chutney (130): Came smeared with chutney and karam on top instead of serving separately -- didn't taste good. Overall: Portions were small, taste inconsistent, and the experience was more frustrating than enjoyable. We tried a few different dosas, including the Pachi Karam Dosa and Erra Karam Dosa with Bombay chutney. Honestly, there wasn't much of a difference compared to a regular podi dosa -- they felt quite similar in taste. On top of that, they're overpriced at nearly double the cost of a podi dosa. Flavor-wise, all the dosas seemed pretty much the same, though the overall taste was still good. Personally, I'd say the idly and podi dosa are worth the money. Just sharing my personal honest opinion.

This place offers very good dosas and idly. In the picture are erra karam dosa and dip idly which tasted yum. The pricing may fee little on higher side, but its worth once in a while

My go to place for some idly&chutney! Soft, fluffy, and served hot - just how it should be. The chutney! Absolutely awesome - fresh, flavorful, and elevates the whole meal. Simple, satisfying, and worth coming again and again. Highly recommended for a quick and tasty tiffins!

With high expectations, I visited this place for dinner. I started with the Dip Idly and absolutely loved it at first bite. The idly was small, soft, and fluffy, paired perfectly with creamy chutney. The podi was mild, adding just the right flavor without overwhelming the taste buds. Next, I tried the Ghee Podi Dosa, which was equally delightful. The dosa was soft and generously coated with ghee and flavorful podi, making every bite enjoyable. The only drawback I noticed was the limited menu -- they only serve idly and dosa. But if you're looking for simple, tasty, and quality food, this place is definitely worth a visit.
