Best place to have breakfast in Ooty. Sambar, chutneys were too yummy. I did over eat here Ordered all the breakfast items idli, sambar, dosa, uttapam. Authentic Tamil sambar chutney you get here. Everything was up to the mark. Coffee was better over tea. They have maintained a good hygiene & atmosphere. I was too busy in eating so took the photo post breakfast. Must read... I recently visited this hotel after seeing good ratings on Google, but my experience was very disappointing. After sitting at the table, no one came to attend for more than 10 minutes. Even after calling a staff member, it still took a long time for anyone to come. Basic things like a tissue stand were missing, and tissues were just placed on the table. When the food finally arrived, there was no spoon with the rice bowl, and after requesting one, it still took about 5 minutes to get it. Fried rice was served without any sauce, which is usually served everywhere. Because of that, I had to eat the fried rice with paneer gravy instead. Maybe this place is good for South Indian items like idli and dosa (which we didn't try), but the main course was really disappointing. Honestly, I don't understand how this place has such high ratings. It was one of the worst service experiences I've had, especially in a tourist place like Ooty.

Restaurant is situated in central ooty. Great choice if you are looking for authentic South Indian food. We loved the Mini Meal Thali..we also tried variety of dosas.. Tried paneer masala dosa Garlic uppam and Ghee Onion Masala Dosa. Staff is prompt and quick to serve you . Our family was greeted and served with local cuisine guidance by Ms. Lekha .

DO NOT VISIT. Worst experience I had this noon. Went for lunch and ordered Sambhar Rice & Tomato Rice. A lady served chilled Tomato Rice and warm Sambhar Rice (Side Dish is also only Quarter Cup). I requested her to reheat the tomato rice and give as it was cold. She said there is no option to reheat as there is power cut. I again requested her to reheat using Fried Rice Pan as we used to do it in my house. She harshly said that if you don't want to eat cold just cancel the item and go (Attached her Photo also). The reply which I never expected from hospitality industry. Please Do Not Visit this Lakshmi Illam.
