Busy, bright, and comfortingly old-school. You step in to the hiss of the dosa tawa and the clink of steel tumblers; orders land fast and hot. Breakfast is the win: cloud-soft idlis, a pongal that's gently peppery, crisp dosas that don't feel oily, and chutneys that taste freshly ground. By lunch it switches to banana-leaf rhythm--rice, sambar, rasam, two simple veggies, appalam, curd--refills appear without you having to wave. Evenings are good for lighter plates: paper roast, ghee roast, chapati-kurma, and a rotation of North-Indian gravies for the table sharers. Filter coffee is strong; if you like tea, ask for a fresh boil.
