Revisited in September 2024: Most of the staff are females and the service is extraordinary in contrast to my precision visit before 2024. Taste of the food and ambiance is same as before. Kalkandu Pongal is their signature dish to taste. Old review : Very good tasty sourashtra vegetarian food,, but service is very poor and servers are not customer friendly,,,, have to tolerate for the tasty food,,, refurbished in 2018 with A/C hall and renamed as New Nagalakshmi.
Went for variety rices and wasnt disappointed. Dosa was good. Tasty sambar and chutney too. Sambar vadai was big and tasty. Kalkandu rice was great.
This is The Portion of Tomato Rice you get for Rs.65 . They are looting peoples money . Atleast be & Do Justice to your food business . For parcel they also charge extra 5, but neither they give cover . Pathetic Service & Useless Hotel . Highly Not Recommended for anyone . Pls Avoid such type of Irrelevant & Useless Hotel .
i visited after very long time in sep 2024. Visited in evening and was less crowd. I tasted parota, ven Pongal, tomato rice and tamarind rice. All tastes good. Will visit again. Revisited May 16 &17 2025 above items +sambar vadai+cukku paal and inAC this time happy again
Still one of the best puliyodharai sadham you get in madurai ( maintaining the taste and recipe) they are here for decades
