Hotel Lakshmi Shankar used to carry a reputation for its taste for a long time, but has fallen back from its golden days. Simple and uncomplicated Tamilnadu Fare like Idlis and Dosas are average here, primarily due to the quality of accompaniments like Cocunut Chutney, Sambar and Pudina Chutney. Coffee remains average too. The proximity to Kovilpatti bus stand and their not so hard in pocket approach makes the patronage levels high for this eatery

Best place to have authentic food in the town. Superb Vada, Dosa. And filter coffee was cherry on cake.

Taste is good but , The cashier service is very worst. I have bought 2 dishes , they didn't give parcel cover and behave rudely.

A good place to have a tasty food - breakfast / lunch / dinner, at very reasonable rate. 4 wheeler parking is an issue. 2 wheeler can be parked just right in front of the mess. Washroom facility is there (could have been more well maintained) which is normally not available in this kind of setup. Only vegetarian options are there. The options get shrinked if you are visiting beyond the peak hours.
