Entering Bodi Iyer Hotel is like stepping back in time. Seems to be a multi generation hotel and having a legacy of serving several hundreds of thousands hungry guests over the period of time. Truly enjoyed the food and ambience of the place, the Pongal and Rose Milk is next level. Parking is available only bikes in front of the hotel, for cars one would have hunt for a suitable place nearby on the road and park.

Excellent restaurant. Super tasty food. Economic pricing. There is a lot to taste in Cumbum. Localities have a lot of sweets. Tried the local way for an early dinner or late evening snacks - asked for jangri and that was served with some mixture.. taste was awesome. Then we tried idli and special dosa with coconut chutney and sambar. Coffee was okay. Excellent food and good hospitality
It's my routeine place when I prefer to eat in Cumbum. So neat, well maintained, good staffs. Tasty and healthy food. Morning , we can eat right from 7 am. All breakfast items are delicious. Proper lunch - I never had there. But suggested to my friend and it tasted well it seems. Dinner - I am fond of mushroom dosa, panner dosa, chilli parotta, parotta, and my daughter's favorite is ghee cone dosa. Traditional coffee is the best always.
Visited today to have lunch... Ordinary one.... Nothing special to mention..... Instructed the staff - incharge of this restaurant to wear mask / as no one (staff) in this hotel is wearing mask or are having enough vigil about wearing it. Food samples are also not available readily. Asked the Municipal Commissioner to impose fine for not adhering the instructions / orders of the Government regarding masks.
