A v reliable veg restuarant in a not so busy part of R S Puram that I've frequented over the years but mostly for dinner. Had lunch there recently & it was good with a good range of sides and curries. Some places are good for either lunch or dinner but my experience was proof enough that one can go to Salem Ravichandran for both. They have a good range of options for dinner & their lemon sevai, podi idli, kothu parotta, appam, paniyarams are standout.

Had been here for lunch and ordered the Vegetarian meals. The food was served on the traditional Banana leaf. The taste and quality of the dishes served was pretty good. The service could definitely improve. We had to wait for close to 20 mins due to the lack of tables. While waiting we noticed that they had dumped stuff on two tables and made it unusable right at the entry into the hotel. If these two tables were also being used, I am sure they would be able to do more business as a hotel and as a customer our waiting time would decrease drastically during the peak hours of business.

This place serves tasty and healthy vegetarian foods. Parking is a bit difficult at evening time and night time. Street parking is available. Must try - Onion podi savai - Lemon savai - Podi Tat idli - Dosa - Kottu parota The table is difficult to get since it's rush hour so plan accordingly in the evening. Ambience is not that great but that would be balanced with the taste of food. Highly recommended for pure vegetarian people!

The staff interaction at check-in/checkout was disappointing. The cashier (or front desk agent) seemed completely disinterested and didn't acknowledge me as a person--a genuinely poor first impression. Furthermore, the dining experience was subpar, with the food being below average in quality and flavor.
