Udipi Sankar Bhavan is a authentic udipi style vegetarian hotel situated on busy Poonamallee High Road, Aminjikarai. More than 50 years old. Generally I think like if Sambar is good in a hotel mostly all things offered will be good, this is one of the hotel which makes it true. Have tried mostly all there items in the menu but haven't got dissatisfied till now. Don't except ambience or fancy menus here. Service could have been better, tough to leave the hotel without any hefty change in your pocket considering the servers and the security

50+ years old hotel. No fancy stuff, just the normal menu . Parking is a challenge as it is bang on the high road. Taste wise, they serve some good food. Don't expect ambiance and other high stuff. Small hotel with around 12 tables that's it.

Ordered Pongal for breakfast today morning on Zomato. I was shocked to find a COCKROACH in the food. Extremely disappointed at the lack of hygiene in their kitchen. Immediately reported the same to Zomato. Did not expect this from Udipi Shankar Bhavan. Request all customers to be careful. Sorry to say this but it is a severe lapse that has to be taken with utmost seriousness.
