Had taken a parcel of masala dosa home, they made us wait 30 min saying the stuffing was not ready, and on opening the parcel the quantity was sooo less the dosa was small the masala stuffing was barely two tablespoons. And tasted bland. If they had atleast informed about the delay we could've ordered some other dish.

Best restaurant to eat south indian veg food. I personally feel Idiyappam with vegetable kurma is special here. We had rava idli, ghee roast, masala roast, idli sambar in this hotel. The quality and ambience is neat. They have separate AC dining. The cost is bit high but worth for money and quality. In AMBUR town, choose this hotel for better quality.

Mention Ambur and one would reminisce biriyani! And serving up a thorough vegetarian fare amidst this, Saisangeet is doing an awesome job. The atmosphere is laid back and the premises is clean. We tried the tiffin items and thali meals, both were good, flavourful and aptly spiced. An added bonus is ample parking space in what is otherwise a bustling location.

As a long-time fan of Saisangeet's highway branches, I've come to associate their name with a lively atmosphere and, most importantly, the best biryani on the Chennai-Salem route. So, when I found myself hungry on a trip back to Chennai, my heart lifted when Google suggested the Saisangeet in Ambur. I was ready for a fantastic dinner that would live up to my fond memories. However, the moment I stepped inside, the usual vibrant Saisangeet energy was missing. The place felt quiet and subdued. My enthusiasm was quickly dampened when I learned that my favorite biryani wasn't even available for dinner--a stark contrast to their other branches. The waiter's blunt "we don't" left me surprised and disappointed. Reluctantly, I ordered a Chilli Parotta since I didn't want to settle for idli or dosa. Unfortunately, the food failed to impress. The vegetables were dry and lacked the fresh, juicy crunch that usually makes their dishes so appealing. Even the filter coffee, while good, felt like it was missing the freshness I had come to expect. What I Ordered: Chilli Parotta Filter Coffee Total Bill: 170 Final Verdict: This experience was a disappointing departure from the Saisangeet I know and love. While the bill was low, the quality of the food and the limited menu felt like a missed opportunity. To maintain its reputation, Saisangeet must uphold its core promise of freshness and quality across all its locations.
