About- This place was accidentally discovred by me some 7 years back or more.Used to be a little distance away where it is now.Shifted because of Hotel construction which is now operational. I first added this place on the maps but could not review it due to busy schedule. The owner knows me personally and when I told him about how I edit google maps, review places, he happily told me to promote his place which is 15 years old or so. Location- This place is located on the cuttack road, main road side, blue colour stall. No big shop, street side stall. It is located just near to Hotel Dunree. Earlier used to be just in front of the hotel but now moved to a side. If you are travelling from kalpana square, move till you reach station square traffic. Just after crossing the traffic, you can see hotel dunree on the left hand side, just 50 meters from the traffic post. Just after the hotel entrance, one the main road side is this stall. If coming from opposite side like Rasulgarh or Laxmisagar, then take U turn at the station square traffic and move 50 meters to find this place on the left hand side, after hotel dunree. Once you see hotel dunree, then slow down, keep to the left as you will miss this stall. People gathering there in the evening will be the marker for you. Food- Talking about food, this stall has 4-5 items like samosa, bara, gulgula, dahi bara and aloochop. But in samosa, there are varieties like- Paneer vegetable samosa, aloo samosa and chowmein samosa. Same in bara- masala bara and plain bara. Item prices are Rs 10 and Rs 20. Like- Chowmein/paneer vegetable samosa- Rs 20 Dahi bara- Rs 20 Plain bara/gulgula/aloochop- Rs 10 Masala bara- Rs 20 Ghughuni- Rs 5 per serving(if you take 2nd time, you have to pay Rs 5 for that) Talking about taste, all items are tasty only ghughuni is average, just okay. One can have it if they feel the other items dry while eating. Pros-I am a big fan of paneer vegetable samosa which is huge in size like bahubali samosa one can say. One is enough to satisfy your hunger also the size is huge. He boasts of selling 300 samosa per day and even people from pipili come for his samosa. Other items like normal bara, aloo samosa and gulgula is also good and crispy. I have not tried the dahibara and masala bara yet. I have taken parcel few times for other people and they are also surprised by the size and appreciated the taste. The owner said-12 vegetables with paneer goes into it like-cabbag,cauliflower,carrot,beetroot,potato,beans etc. with paneer.Chowemin samosa is good too.Another plus point is- It's pure veg,no onions and garlic and the owner is a jolly happy person. Cons- Small stall but due to huge demand, sometimes items finish early. If one goes at 7:30 PM chances are they will miss the star dish-the samosa(paneer vegetable). But the main improvement would be the ghughuni. Even if it's a no onion & garlic, there are other joints which are also no onion & garlic but they sell very tasty ghughuni. Here the ghughuni is bland, just matar & gravy.
