our order took like one hour and it was served lukewarm.. the noodle soup tastes so bland and definitely not worth Rs.200/bowl , their thai beef salad is too salty, very limited items on menu yet they dont master none it seems, so disappointed..

The dining experience at the establishment left much to be desired, commencing from the moment we arrived. The cashier and receptionist appeared preoccupied with their phones, requiring us to summon their attention for seating. While our server was amiable, he lacked comprehensive knowledge of the menu and did not provide any recommendations. Service was notably slow, compounded by the lack of engagement from two staff members at the entrance, engrossed in their phones, coupled with our server's absence from the floor, seemingly preoccupied in the kitchen. Turning to the culinary offerings, the Tom Yum soup was disappointingly bland, lacking the expected umami richness. In contrast, the chicken momo presented an overpowering ginger flavor, which may not appeal to all palates. The tea, though enjoyable, was served in a rather unsightly cup marred by mold spots on both the rim and holder. However, the Tom Yum combo was a delightful exception, redeeming the experience at least partially. The sachek, unfortunately, resembled nothing more than bitter water. An additional point of confusion stemmed from our order being served in an illogical sequence: mains were presented before appetizers. Overall, the evening left me quite dissatisfied, though I recognize that each experience offers an opportunity for learning and growth.

Let me start with the positives. The ambiance was great, the furniture, lighting, decor, all of it. The staff were okay. They seemed understaffed and it was difficult to get their attention. They seemed frustrated at times or agitated if we called them too much. We had to wait a while before we could get their attention. This is all in comparison to the service we get in most places in Aizawl. The food was extremely disappointing. We had very high expectations as the cafe has stirred up quite a buzz in town. They serve Thai, a little bit of continental, and a little of traditional Mizo thingpui dawr items. I feel like perhaps they should focus on one cuisine and master it. All the sea food was a little on the fishy side. The Tom Yum Soup was not rich, very thin; they sorta had the right flavour but it just wasn't hitting. The white penne pasta was tasteless, their thai salad was quite okay but lacked a lot of tangy flavours which you'd normally taste in a raw papaya salad. Their pork salad tasted stale and was a little bit nauseating. We could not finish it. I wish The Green Cafe all the best since I can see the idea behind it - the simplicity in their menu and the elegance in their ambiance. I hope they can improve and reach their potential in the future.

Offering a flavor of Southeast Asian cuisines with a blend of local taste, this restaurant is one of Aizawl City's brilliant jewels and a unique feature. Indoor plants effectively highlight how tidy and clean it is. The food they served was delicious and reasonably priced. Will return numerous times.

Great place when you're hungry. Foods taste good. Low-mid price items. Opens on Sunday. Close on Monday. Good place Friends & Family dineout. Thali foods available. UPI payment accepted. Smoking area available. Nice and clean restaurant. A little bit hard to call waiters when needed. But service is good enough. Parking space for 4wheels sometimes may not be available.
