The Nongstoin Kitchen

I recently stayed at The Nongstoin Kitchen, and it was one of the most pleasant and memorable stays I've had in Meghalaya. From clean rooms to warm hospitality, everything about this place left a positive impression. The hotel is well-managed and sits at a convenient location near the main market, making it easy to explore the town or pick up essentials. The rooms are neat, comfortable, and well-maintained, with all basic amenities in place. Cleanliness is clearly a top priority here, and it shows. One of my favorite parts of the property is the in-house restaurant. It has a warm, inviting vibe with a special corner filled with drums and other musical instruments, which adds a unique charm to the space. The food served is fresh, flavorful, and satisfying--perfect after a day of exploring the beautiful surroundings. But what truly sets this place apart is the owner, Mr. Bok. He is not just a host but a genuinely kind human being who went above and beyond to ensure my stay was smooth and comfortable. From local tips to personal check-ins, his hospitality was heartfelt and sincere. It's rare to come across such attentive care in today's fast-paced travel world. If you're planning a trip to Nongstoin, I highly recommend The Nongstoin Kitchen. Whether it's a short stopover or a longer stay, this place offers a blend of comfort, convenience, and truly exceptional service.

Five of us stayed at Nongstoin Kitchen during our trip to West Khasi Hills. The place is located at the heart of the town. The food was good. Rooms were clean and spacious. Although some minor improvements are required here and there, the hospitable and friendly nature of the host and the staff makes up for it. We had a great time here. Thank you, Nongstoin Kitchen.

The staff if very helpful. The food was okay. The hotel is very easy to find, it's right in the city. Just that the rooms and bathroom need a bit more maintainance.

We visited Nongstoin on a Sunday, but unfortunately, everything was closed. On our way, we came across this homestay Nongstoin Kitchen, and even though their restaurant wasn't open, the staff kindly went out of their way to prepare us a warm, comforting meal. The coffee was great too! I wholeheartedly recommend their restaurant--such hospitality is rare to find.

Spacious rooms and clean but we had a horrible experience as there was no water in the washroom. Even after letting them know we didn't get water till next morning.
