I went in with more hopes than expectation, so thankfully only my hopes were dashed! First off, the place is difficult to find from the main road with very poor signage directing you to the door. There's just some space under trees where you can park, but if that is full then there is no option but to find space on the main road and then walk there. Now assuming you put up with that, like we did and went in, then this is what we had to face today - Wait for a long time to get table service. Then wait 25mins to get served 4 coffees, something that is pretty much ready by the door. We were first served cold coffee which we had to return and then wait another 10mins for a fresh set of coffees. So it had already been about 45mins since we ordered and finished our coffees when the food finally arrived. We ordered the Ghee Podi Thatte Idly, Mysore Masala Dosa, Vada Sambar and Onion Uthappam. The Thatte Idly did not have any ghee and the idly was not spongy like it should be, the masala in the masala dosa was sweet, and by the time the vada sambar was served it looked like it had been soaked in it for a while! What's worse, for a place that only does south indian food, the sambar was thick with too much dal, the chutneys were not great, and four of us struggled to finish our dishes. Also, for a south indian place serving the same sambar and chutneys for all dishes, it's incredibly expensive! 125 bucks for a coffee, 240 for masala dosa, and added service tax in a place that isn't air conditioned or well staffed (the service was slow and everyone looked overwhelmed) is ridiculous! I don't see myself going back there again, there are other places in the city that serve better tasting food at a much more affordable price.
