Best quality food. Probably the most delicious fish recipes hotel we have right now in Dombivali. Please maintain the quality & taste. I love to visit this place always. Never disappoints me. Just a little over crowded during Sundays or holidays.
Konkani Culinary Crash. As a Konkani person and lifelong fish lover, my visit to this much-hyped place was a really bad food experience and a huge let-down. The too long waiting times and constant crowds for this place don't make any sense, as the food simply didn't taste like real Malvani food. Instead of the strong, flavorful tastes, real coconut milk feel, and bright spices I know and love, most of the dishes were bland, weak copies. This was a big disappointment for anyone looking for true Malvani/Konkani food. I wonder what other people see in this spot, but for me--someone who grew up eating this food--the lack of real Konkani taste was very upsetting. This place is an over-hyped disappointment, and I will certainly never be going back.
One of the best places to try malvani style food. Stuffed bombil is not to be missed. It's super delicious. Surmai /Pomfret fry are pretty big in size and fresh. Mutton thali was also tasty and proportions were good enough. Solkadi was awesome too. Will definitely visit once again to try other dishes from the diverse menu.
We visit this restaurant often especially when we want to eat fish and chicken! The Fish Thali, Chicken Thali, Egg Thali are awesome. The Pomphret Fry (tllelaa paaplett) which is part of the Fish Thali is really awesome! The fish Thali however has gravies with sour taste, which is the taste of Konkan. The other two Thalis don't have the sour tasted gravies. It serves, Kombdi Wade (koNbddii vdde - spicy Poori), Rice Chapati, Amboli (aaNbolii), Tawa Roti but no Tandoori Roti. All thalis are sumptuous and come with tasty Solkadhi (solkddhii)! The food is awesome. The negatives are long waiting time on weekends, the Hotel doesn't take any advance reservations/ bookings; the owner (manager?) seemed somewhat arrogant, every time I interacted with him.
