Review of Joshi Bhojnalay, Akkalkot
Joshi Bhojnalay, located near the Shri Swami Samarth Vatvruksh Mandir in Akkalkot, is a gem for anyone looking to enjoy authentic Maharashtrian cuisine. This simple yet delightful eatery specializes in serving thali meals that feel like a warm, home-cooked feast.
The thali includes a variety of items such as sabji (vegetable curry), roti, dal, chawal (rice), and chutney, many of which are served unlimited, allowing you to enjoy your meal to your heart's content. The flavors are simple, comforting, and reminiscent of traditional Maharashtrian home-cooking, making it a perfect option for those seeking a wholesome meal after visiting the temple.
One standout item is the fresh and tasty buttermilk, which is not just refreshing but also a perfect complement to the meal.
The location adds to the convenience, being very close to the Vatvruksh Mandir, making it an ideal stop for pilgrims and visitors. The simplicity and authenticity of the food, combined with its homely feel, truly set Joshi Bhojnalay apart.
Highly recommended for anyone visiting Akkalkot and looking to relish traditional Maharashtrian flavors in a welcoming atmosphere.

Visited this place for dinner during our stay in Akkalkot, drawn by its high ratings, but it was a disappointing experience. The location is tricky to find, and the seating is very uncomfortable for elders.
Although the food was served quickly, we found a large insect in the daal and hair in the rice twice--clearly highlighting poor hygiene practices. The small size of the place is acceptable, but basic cleanliness should never be compromised. Definitely not recommended.

Excellent food, Good service and a clean place. Best homely food ever tasted. If you eat here once it will definitely become your go to place in Akkalkot. Thali Pricing is very reasonable. You will have to pay extra for the desserts but that is too very reasonably priced. I tried Amrakhand and it tasted very good.
Place is located within walking distance from the Vatavruksha temple and very close to Balappa Maharaj Swami Guru Sthan. It's on the main road towards Samadhi Mandir.
Akkalkot Temple has sufficient parking facility and due to small internal roads, it is advisable not to park on the main road near Joshi Bhojanalay. It's always preferable to park in Temple parking and walk to the Bhojanalay.
