A great place for anyone who wants to have traditional, local meals. They offer a variety of vegetables, sambar, buttermilk, fish curry and rice along with fish fry. For us, the price for 4 meals and 5-6 fishes came up to 900 rupees. I think it's a very affordable place. The taste of the fish was really good. It's a small family run place so I feel the ambience can be better. It gets extremely hot or atleast it did when we were eating. Some more fans would be good.

Had an amazing experience indulging in traditional Kerala cuisine served the classic way--on a banana leaf! The flavors were rich, the spices perfectly balanced, and every dish felt like a celebration of local culture. I ordered the fish fry, and wow--what a treat! Crispy on the outside, tender and flavorful inside. It was absolutely delicious and left me wanting more. If you're craving real Kerala food with superb taste, this place is a must-try. Yummy doesn't even begin to cover it!

Visited this place after seeing so many positive reviews and they didn't disappoint. Food absolutely slaps Fish fry, Sambar and the poriyals absolute delight, I suggest to skip fish gravy and eat entire rice with Sambar and fish fry. Will visit again before leaving.

Nice Kerala food (fish meals) we had here. Mackerel fish fry was also very good. Fish meal was Rs 150 and fish fry was Rs 100. Prices may vary based on season, so check price before hand. What they can improve? 1. Wash basin can be provided instead of bucket for handwash. 2. It is very hot and u will sweat while eating there during the day in summer, even fan didn't help. They can do some improvement in Tin based shed to reduce heat. 3. They provide paper(plastic lining) based leaf instead of banana leaf. Either they can provide in banana leaf or just in steel plate. They were kind enough to provide us banana leaf when we asked for it. Overall, food was great but uncomfortable to sit during summar due to heat.

Finally found some real food in Varkala. Authentic Kerala fish melas. My soul just melted eating food here. Aunty is very lovely and takes almost care while serving. Absolutely recommend this place, fits the pocket and fills the tummy.
