'Oottupra' the dining hall of the temple, where food is offered to the devotees as prasada in the noon and night. The noon meel is given as part of offering from devotees. Vaikathapan Annadana Trust also offers noon meel. In the night rice soup and pulses are offered as meel/ prasada. The food is as delicious as the blessing of the god.
Temple oottupura of Lord Siva who is also known as Vaikathappan. Daily food is served to devotees known as vaikam Prathal. Very vast area inside the temple compound. Also a big temple pond nearby. Famous for Vaikathashtami and Vadakkupurath Pattu (held once in 12 years)
Vaikom Mahadeva Temple Oottupura offers daily 'Annadaana prasadam' at 11.30 am, and 'Praathal' Vazhipaad at 12.30pm. It also offers 'Athaazha Prasadam (Rice Poridge and pee curry) daily at 8 pm.
